Hocking Hills 60th Annual Winter Hike ❄️ 🥾 This is my second year attending & it was wonderful! The trails were magically snow covered & I was able to complete 6.5 miles in 2 hours. Kicked some trail tail 💨

Week 3 of Forest School 🌲 The older kids made acorn pancakes for all of us from acorns harvested on property. They were delicious with apple butter topping. YUM!!
The little kids studied animal s**t, adventured in the woods, made animal track flash cards, + studied the stars.

Second week of forest school is underway. Continued with our navigation theme, symbols on maps + the first map makers. We made our own symbols to follow through the woods, made a fairy house + collected salamander’s.
Lowell’s favorite part was preparing his walking stick for decoration + using a drill.

Made tea & our own charcoal pencils over the fire at Forest School 🔥✏️ We drew maps then followed each child’s directions. We found frogs, salamanders, crawdads & crickets. It was a good day exploring the woods!!
