There’s a version of this season you’ll want to remember.
Not the highlight reel version. The real one. The way your kids are right now, at this exact age, in this light, in this place you call home.
That’s what I’m here to capture.
Mother’s Day is coming up, and I’ve been thinking about the moms who don’t have many photos of themselves with their kids. The ones who are always behind the camera. The ones who keep saying ‘maybe next year.’

“Family is the place where the sun always seems to shine a little warmer.”

Photographing this beautiful family was such a joy — the silliness, the snuggles, the way the kids lit up when they ran through the tall grass… it was everything I love about golden-hour sessions in Marin.

There’s something special about documenting families as they are right now — before the next growth spurt, the next sports season, the next big milestone. These little windows of togetherness go by fast, and I’m always honored to help freeze them.

Some seasons of parenthood feel like they’ll last forever…
and then one day you realize they didn’t.

That belly laugh.
That wild toddler sprint.
That soft little hand reaching for yours.
The way they collapse into you like you’re their whole world.

This is the good stuff — the in-between moments that don’t make it to the baby book, but absolutely make your life.

As a family photographer (and a mom myself), I know how quickly these tiny chapters disappear. It’s why I’m so passionate about helping families slow it all down and hold onto the joy, the connection, and the magic of right now.

There’s something magical about a cloudy sky…
It slows everything down, softens the world, and lets the connection take center stage. 🤍
This was my second time photographing this sweet family, and once again they showed up with joy, ease, and zero stress about the forecast. (Honestly? Cloudy days might be my new favorite — the light is chef’s kiss.)
What I love most is the way they simply are together — playful, connected, present. These are the moments you’ll look back on and feel all over again.
