What do our in home newborn sessions look like?

A lot of the time, we’re just chatting.

You’re holding your baby, telling us about them, talking about how the last few weeks have been, maybe laughing about something completely unrelated to the session — and we’re photographing it all as it happens, capturing the little touches and the way you look at your baby.

Because your newborn session doesn’t have to feel like a photoshoot. It can just feel like spending time together, with a camera quietly documenting it in the background.

One of the questions we’ve been getting a lot lately is, “Will you come to ___?”

The answer is almost always yes!

We love exploring new beaches, parks, neighborhoods, and hidden gems. Some of our favorite sessions have happened in places we hadn’t photographed before or places that are most meaningful to the families we work with.

If you have a location in mind, send it our way! We’ll happily travel to create your session. For locations farther from our usual service area, we may add a small travel fee depending on the distance but we’re always happy to chat through the details and we’ll let you know when booking.

When is the best time to book your newborn session?

The ideal time to reserve your in-home newborn session is during the second or early third trimester. This allows us to plan around your due date and make sure we have availability during those early weeks when your baby is still so tiny and sleepy.

That being said… it’s never too late to reach out. Sometimes you don’t realize until baby arrives just how quickly these moments pass, or you may simply decide you’d love to have this season documented after all. If our schedule allows, we are always happy to try to fit in a last-minute newborn session.

Whether your baby is still on the way or already in your arms, we’d love to help preserve this beautiful chapter 💕
