Motherhood is wild.
It’s strength wrapped in exhaustion.
It’s showing up even when you’re running on fumes, carrying everyone else while somehow still holding onto yourself.

Over the years, I’ve photographed a lot of moms. The loud ones. The soft ones. The badass ones. The overwhelmed ones. The ones who swear they “hate photos” and then end up laughing with their kids five minutes later like they forgot the camera was even there.

And honestly? Every single one of them is stronger than they probably give themselves credit for

Today is always a little heavy for me for two reasons.
I lost my mom 10 years ago… and after years of trying, IVF, heartbreak, and hoping, I was unable to have children myself.

So if you still have your mom here… take the photo.
Even if she says no.
Even if she thinks she looks tired.
Even if the kids are chaotic.

Because one day those photos stop being “just photos.”

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms, the stepmoms, the grandmas, the women holding everyone together behind the scenes… and the ones missing their moms a little extra today.

If this engagement session is any indication of what next weekend is about to look like… Rancho Mirage might not recover. 🔥

The color. The movement. The energy. The way these two show up together so naturally it feels effortless in front of the camera. Absolutely unreal.

And can we take a moment for this dress because honestly it deserves its own RSVP.

400+ guests. Desert backdrop. One giant celebration.
Yeah… this wedding is about to be a whole experience and I already know the dance floor is going to be dangerously good.

Rancho Mirage, we’re coming for you. 🌵🥂

Just a few quiet minutes before the ceremony.

I guided them into the space and gave them a moment.

The rest was already there between them.

Photographing a couple is one skill.

Understanding the entire room is another.

Executing both without missing a beat —
that’s expert level.

Weddings aren’t just moments.
They’re atmosphere.

And I shoot both — with precision.

Not overly posed.
Not left to chance.

Directed when it matters.
Unscripted when it counts.

That’s where editorial meets real life.

Posed when it matters.
Unscripted when it unfolds.

The artistry is knowing
when to direct the moment
and when to let it breathe.

That balance is where my style lives —
editorial structure,
documentary soul.

Not performative.
Not forced.
Just two people, fully present with each other.
This is the kind of love I’m drawn to document.
