Apparently “traveling less for work” does not include destination weddings.

There is something about photographing a wedding away from home that always feels a little extra special.

New architecture, new light, a different landscape, and an entire weekend centered around bringing everyone you love together in one place.

Mexico was beautiful, but what I love most is getting to photograph weddings that feel intentional, personal, and completely connected to the place they are happening.

Whether that is California, Mexico, Italy, or somewhere completely new, my approach stays the same: refined direction, genuine moments, beautiful details, and photographs that still feel like you years from now.

We celebrated our engagement at one of our favorite places, a restaurant and setting we’ve loved for a long time, and every part of the evening felt so intentional. We wanted our engagement party to feel warm, colorful, and inspired by the desert sunset while still feeling intimate and true to us. From the location itself to the pops of color and the people we chose to celebrate with, it was a night that felt deeply personal from beginning to end.

There is something so special about an intimate desert celebration in Joshua Tree, especially in a place that already holds meaning. Nights like this are such a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing wedding weekends, engagement parties, and celebrations that feel thoughtful, personal, and full of heart.

Sunstone Winery at golden hour ✨

A ceremony framed by vineyards, layered florals, and the kind of joy you can feel long after the day is over.

From the soft draping above the aisle to the laughter that followed their first kiss as husband and wife, every part of this celebration felt thoughtful, romantic, and effortlessly beautiful.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at Sunstone is how the architecture, stone textures, and evening light create a backdrop that feels timeless in every season.
