I meant to post this last month, but I've been crazy busy. My kids would say "just crazy", but when you have three teenagers, you're not the sanest person.
Anyway, I photographed Egil Krogh decades ago when I lived in Seattle for a magazine. Having photographed Hillary Clinton for an entire day, the Governor, the Attorney General etc., I was finally in a comfortable place to work with big names and to creatively experiment with posing and light. He was very kind and obliged. He gave me 10 minutes.
I had no idea who he was until the editor told me just before the session. I wish I could find that portrait, but I think it was his best. I tried to capture his repentant and thoughtful nature.
If I come across one of my tear sheets, buried in my garage, I'll post it sometime. He also gave me a signed book, also buried in the garage, of his book "The Day Elvis Met Nixon". I forgot all about it until just now.
