What You Can Expect From a Newborn Session With Me
With over 14 years of experience and hundreds of newborns photographed, I’ve learned that a beautiful newborn session is about so much more than simply taking pictures. It’s about creating an experience where parents can relax, knowing that everything is taken care of.
I have families travel from all over Chicago and the surrounding suburbs—and even from out of state—to have me photograph their babies. And when you arrive, everything is already prepared for you.
You don’t need to bring a thing for baby (just milk) I have a beautiful collection of high-quality props, wraps, blankets, accessories, and everything needed to create a variety of carefully styled setups.
Moms, you don’t have to worry about what to wear. I have a large collection of custom-made dresses specifically designed for maternity and newborn photography. These are not dresses you’ll find in a regular store—they’re thoughtfully made to photograph beautifully and fit the style of a newborn session.
I handle your baby with care throughout the session. Once we begin, I do the posing and handle baby throughout the different setups. I’ll bring baby back to you whenever we need mom or dad for a pose, or whenever mom needs to nurse or comfort baby. Otherwise, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy watching your little one being photographed.
Every pose, every setup, and every little detail is done thoughtfully and carefully. My goal is always to create images that feel beautiful, timeless, and special—and hopefully leave you with a gallery that makes you smile every time you look through it.
And if you’ve been following my work, you may have noticed that I rarely share just one image from a session. I love showing several images together because they tell the story of the session and give new clients a real idea of what they can expect when they choose me as their newborn photographer.
After 14+ years, I still love creating these little stories for families, and I’m so thankful to every family who has trusted me with such an important time in their lives.

After photographing hundreds of newborns, I’ve definitely learned a thing or two about babies—and I absolutely love getting to know each little personality.
And one fun fact about me…
I am 100% more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it! Anyone who has ever photographed me—especially my photographer friends—knows just how awkward I feel in front of the camera.
But behind the camera is where I’m completely comfortable. That’s where I love being—capturing your family, your baby, and all those little moments you’ll want to remember forever 🫶
