It is Day 10 of Team Reinking Announcements, which means we have officially reached the end of announcement week.

Please do not ask us to explain how a week turned into 10 days. Math was never the point.

Yes. Day 8 of announcement week.

Math was never the point.

Today’s announcement is the practical cousin of yesterday’s Etsy shop: our Amazon Wedding Survival Shop.

After more than 1,200 weddings and elopements in New York City, we have learned that the tiny things can make a big difference.

Blister bandages. Umbrellas. Blotting paper. Touch up items. Emergency kit things. Comfortable shoes. Snacks. Always snacks.

So we made a curated list of little things we think couples should consider for their New York wedding day.

Not because you need to buy everything.

But because sometimes the difference between “this is amazing” and “my feet are trying to leave my body” is one tiny thing you packed ahead of time.

But getting legally married in New York City comes with a few important administrative steps, especially if you are traveling here, getting married at the City Clerk’s Office, or need your marriage legally recognized back home.

And not every couple needs us to photograph their wedding or officiate their ceremony.
