I feel my life shifting with this season of my life as a mother, and I find myself being drawn to family sessions more and more. There’s something about knowing firsthand how some moments are so fleeting. Yes, a lot of days feel long and the struggle to get dressed is so often a battle. But there’s little that is more precious than photographs of loved ones. Photos of your children. Photos of YOU with your children.

Finally inspired to share more work. Sometimes, what’s going on the in the world will paralyze me from posting. I become disgusted, horrified, angry at the people and systems involved in war. And am beyond heartbroken for the everyday people whose world is being ruined by the senseless violence. I try to stay informed and engage in discourse. I deeply care and want our leaders and influencers to speak up and demand change. But on here, here I want to show the hope that lives in the everyday and in the lives being lived in my small part of the world. And almost nothing is more hopeful than bringing new life into the world.

There’s something special about waking up before the sun rises and saying your vows just as the day is starting.

I’ve got a lot of editing in my queue as a busy fall winds down. But it’s just a reminder that I couldn’t be more stoked that this is what I get to do - capture life for the absolutely most wonderful people 🤍

I’ll never forget this view. Or the memories we made with our little one in the tropical sunshine of Costa Rica.

10/10 recommend using some of your parental leave to take a family vacation.. especially if you can go somewhere warm when it’s the middle of winter back home.

We did this trip back in January/February and it’s amazing how much less of a baby our baby has become since then 🥹

I also know parental leave is a luxury and definitely not guaranteed for all. Don’t you think it’s time we pushed for a national change on that front ‘merica?

Hello hi. It’s been awhile. I’m just popping in to post a fun little set that reminds me to embrace exuberance, laughter, and COLOR - please have a rainbow wedding if color brings you everyday joy.

It’s been never (!!) since I attended a full content day and this first one will be hard to beat. The concepts pushed me so much creatively beyond what I normally shoot, and I love that. It feels good to be experiencing something new with photography again. Here’s just a glimpse of Strangers in Paradise.

Would you go skiing on your wedding day?

We’ll, that’s exactly what these two did! They woke up early and had a small backyard ceremony in the snow behind their cabin then packed their gear and spent the rest of the day hitting the slopes.

Talk about an adventure elopement! And a reminder to craft your wedding day however you dream it ⛷️

There’s no denying that your life changes when you become a parent. Something deep inside you shifts and you start to look at the world a little differently.

I never thought I liked family photos, but this session, taken after Azula was born, made me look at things a little differently. Unposed, candid … moments immersed in play. Caught in a hail storm. This fleeting hour in the span of your family’s life - it is worth documenting.

It will probably still be fairly rare for me to take on these type of sessions, but you want something like this, a genuine documentary session, reach out. We may just be able to create something real and beautiful and true to your family.

There is so much natural beauty. It’s hard to believe this place is real.

Iceland will always mean something special to us now. It was our first big trip since the world changed two years ago. And our last big trip before we expect to welcome our little one into the world. It is a wild, rugged place that stopped time for us in this moment of our lives. And I will forever be thankful.

One day I might get around to posting more but for now, enjoy the snapshots of just a few of the places our journey took us. Many many hot springs, sheep, waterfalls, and puffins missing from these photos.
