This Christmas looked a little different. My grandpa went to be with Jesus and while we rejoice that he is spending Christmas worshiping Jesus face to face, there is a giant sized grandpa hole.

He taught me how to drive before I could see over the steering wheel, helped me with my math homework, took me on countless trips to the library and taught me to love the forest gump sounds of the 60s.

He had the best one-liners and could be seen pitching for our longboat key baseball nights. He attended so many of my sporting events- celebrating with frosties from Wendy’s.

But what I’ll miss most of all is waking up and walking into the kitchen and seeing him seated at the table reading his Bible and completing the New York Times crossword puzzle.

I’m so thankful God gave me you as my grandpa.

This girl is 7 M O N T H S!! We enjoyed celebrating her first thanksgiving Thursday with family! She is really starting to find her voice and loves saying “da da”. She is so close to sitting up and is enjoying every food she tries. She is the sweetest girl!
