The Bible has been used in ways that have brought shame upon our country—that must be acknowledged—but that does not make it corrupt, nor does it diminish the message brought to us by Jesus Christ.

So today, let us commemorate the brave men and women whose lives were laid down for the preservation of others, and honor the sacrifice made in service to something greater than themselves.

One of the most powerful ways to communicate ideas, concepts, and thoughts throughout human history has been through art. With every brushstroke and every strike of the chisel, artists have moved civilizations forward through imagery shaped by intention.

Whether in service of faith, innovation, or simple expression, art remains essential—the world needs artists.👨🏼‍🎨🎨🏛️✝️

We had a beautiful time in PA (was mine and Fry’s first time)—Olivia is from the sticks. Lol.

The pace of life is so much different out there;

I might be an east coast guy now.

The more I’ve studied Scripture, the more I’ve had to wrestle with something I didn’t expect.

Early on, I often felt at odds with my Catholic brothers and sisters. What started as curiosity usually turned into debate—and if I’m honest, I thought that was the point.

I don’t think that anymore.

Over time, I’ve come to appreciate that the Christian tradition is broader than I once allowed myself to see. The Catholic, Orthodox, and even Ethiopian expressions of the faith each carry a depth that I’m still learning to understand.

That doesn’t mean every difference disappears. It doesn’t mean doctrine doesn’t matter. And it certainly doesn’t mean I’m speaking about groups that deny the deity of Christ.

But it does mean this:

Christ remains at the center.

And when that’s truly understood, the way we approach one another begins to change. Less like opponents to be corrected—and more like brothers and sisters trying to faithfully understand the same Word.

I’m still learning. But I’m learning to see the Church with a little more patience, and a little more humility.

Gotta start them off young.

Not just in routine—but in truth.

“Train up a child in the way he should go…” isn’t a suggestion, it’s a calling. Discipleship doesn’t begin in a church building—it begins in the quiet, ordinary moments: morning walks, open Bibles, prayers whispered over little ears that may not fully understand yet… but are learning.

He’s watching. He’s absorbing. He’s becoming.

My responsibility isn’t just to provide—it’s to model what it looks like to follow Christ in word, in discipline, and in love.

Seeds are being planted now that, Lord willing, will bear fruit long after these walks are over.

Start them young. Stay faithful. Trust God with the harvest. 📖☕️🩵

What’s one book in the Bible that really makes you think deeply? 📚 🧠

On the surface, the Psalms appear to be standalone pieces of poetry with little connection to one another and no overarching theme or core meaning. However, the more time I spend reading them, the more it becomes apparent that they are strategically woven together, consistently harkening back to various parts of Scripture, forward to things yet to come, and offering real-time application for our faith journey.

Regarding the Davidic Psalms, one truth we can draw as believers is the call to emulate David’s humility—his deep awareness of the Lord and his complete recognition that apart from God, he is weak. This posture is of the highest importance for us as believers.
