There are moments that divide your life into two chapters: before… and forever after.

As the sun slowly melted into the Pacific at Terranea Resort, Ben led Selma into a moment that had been waiting for a lifetime to arrive.

Surrounded by a sea of white blooms, flickering candlelight, and the quiet anticipation of the people who love them most, he asked the question that would forever change the course of their story.

She said yes 🤍…

…but the proposal was only the beginning.

What followed became some of my favorite moments of the entire evening. The deep breath after the happy tears. The way they couldn’t stop smiling at one another. The quiet pause as she admired the ring that would become part of her everyday life. Family wrapping them in hugs. The laughter that naturally took over once the nerves had disappeared.

Those are the moments that stay with me.

Because a proposal isn’t just about one question. It’s about the first few moments of a brand new chapter. The ones that can’t be rehearsed. The emotions that spill over without warning. The realization that everything ahead suddenly looks different… because now, they’ll walk toward it together.

Ben & Selma, thank you for trusting me with one of the most meaningful days of your lives. It was an honor to witness your beginning, and I have no doubt your greatest adventure is only just beginning.

One question. One answer. A thousand tomorrows waiting just beyond the horizon. ✨
