So here is the final evolution. Started with the blue blobs in V1, V2 stepped it up and we started to get a lot more visual fidelity, but then it hit a wall with what it could do with the strange geometry one, but wrapped up nicely with the waves and bouncing balls. Now doing a full new V3 with three.js for full 3D support. Exciting ☺️

So here is v2 of my visualizer. BIG step up from last nights blue blobs, which I still hold dear in my heart.

I rebuilt the whole thing from scratch and made the visualizer modular so I can have the front and backends done and then just build more visualizers and plug them in to select from the drop down.

Please share any thoughts or questions and I would secretly like to hear your opinions on the song too 🙏

Oh, the rebuild took me and hour and a half. GPT5.2 does goo code but its framework sucked, the collaboration sucked and it was kinda a dick 😒

Ok, going to bed now… but this is what I got done just now. Created a music visualizer using GPT5.2. To be honest, I still prefer Opus4.5 and in the end I threw the project in Codex and and finished it with Grok and Opus.
It has a React front end and a FastAPI backend. Upload your song, analyze, render visuals, export mp4.

Honestly, first impression was really meh… but as the song kept playing I got more into it haha.

The song is one I made a few months ago and I’m actually really happy with. Since it’s not my main gig I don’t really think to share this stuff haha.

I’ll share the UI tomorrow and am actually rebuilding with a WebGL visualizer next. So let’s see what comes next ☺️

Shot this footage for a friend a while back and they never used it…
Oh, shot with an iPhone 15Pro Max and a Osmo Pocket3. Graded to look the same and had a macro and an anamorphic lens.

So since I finished this song today I figured I could practice some editing. Needs work for sure, well more like need skill, but we all start at the bottom when we start haha. I’ll build on what I learn here.
I do like my song though… no title yet. Did in GarageBand, but thinking to pay for Ableton, maybe… someday.
