I’ve really been getting into my lighting bag lately, especially on film sets. For a long time, I was honestly intimidated by lighting. I understood it, but not in a way that felt fully mine.

Now I’m starting to see it differently. Shaping light is problem solving. Every setup is a new question, and every shoot makes you sharper.

As a photographer, it’s given me a new level of confidence.
As a director, it’s made me more precise. I can communicate what I actually see in my head.

Because how can you direct at the highest level if you don’t fully understand the tools?

My goal is to be fluent in every part of the process, from pre-production to post.
Sharpening the tools, one day at a time.

Onwards and upwards.

THE HOST - Written and Directed by 🙋🏽‍♂️

This was a fun film I made a couple years back. and I came up with the idea on a Friday during lunch. I wrote it that evening. Produced it on Saturday and filmed the whole thing on Sunday. A wild weekend but it was fun af! For the edit, that took a while 😅 Life was lifing and a couple hundred dollars can only go so far. BUT I’m happy to show it in its final form!

It’s been a long time coming, but this journey to Los Angeles has changed me for the better. This past spring, I graduated from the top film school in the world, and I can confidently say the experience transformed not only my craft as a writer and director, but also the way I see myself as an artist and storyteller. I’m still learning, still growing, still becoming, but I like what I see in the mirror. If you want to follow me on my journey, make sure to follow I can’t wait to show y’all what’s next.
