Sometimes your wedding day weather is a bit hotter than anticipated. So instead of running all over town for portraits- we opted to stay put and shoot in the lovely backyard of the family home where the couple was getting ready. They could dip in and out of amazing A/C and stay gorgeous and coooool!
It doesn’t have to be complicated, but it was still special and intimate to match the vibes of the their at home wedding.

Amanda+John described their vision of the day as a “wonder machine” where the guests experience was next level. Well - mission accomplished !
A Relationship museum, Tarot reader, TWO photo booths, live saxophone + vinyl DJ combo, roaming Magician, Found footage; Wedding edition …whimsy/ wonder galore!

And naturally, their grand entrance song was the Muppet theme song- beautiful chaos and I loved all of it.

Can you think of anything better than getting married at home?? A+ K shared private vows on their front porch, turned their backyard into a lush garden dinner party, and enjoyed the most magical celebration with their closest family and friends in the literal comfort of their own home; the very definition of intimate, sacred and community - your space with your people just the way you want with no venue guidelines or restrictions.
Venues are amazing , but if you can open your home for such a celebration it is truly fantastic!
And truly made their vision come to life along with such a stellar team of vendors!

Plus it’s really cool when your couples are beyond radical and you become friends and I just love them!
