Today is the first sign of the baby hummingbirds! There are 2 that I could see the mama feeding. I will follow along their tenuous journey to fledging.

One of my favorite ways to get some exercise is to walk in the woods. Yesterday, I came across a very well camouflaged Anna’s hummingbird sitting on her nest, right by the trail. I returned later with a 400mm prime lens so I could make some images without disturbing the bird. I am now going to watch to see if she has a successful brood, so follow along!
