So this Happened! Some things in this life are priceless.
This past weekend was one of those moments.
Although these photos begin in 1992, our story actually started back in 1977. Todd and I grew up with Stan and Big Ed in the DMV—Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. We weren’t just friends… we were always at each other’s houses, playing every sport we could think of, spending the night, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and just living life together. Our parents became close, and over time we became brothers.
When Todd got married in 1992, my cousin Mathew met Stan and Ed, and from that day forward, he became part of that same brotherhood.
Who would’ve thought we’d still be recreating this photo 34 years later?
July 1992. July 2009. July 2015. July 2026.
Life has taken each of us down different paths. Careers, marriages, raising families, victories, setbacks, loss, growth… all the things that shape a life. Yet somehow, whenever we get together, it’s like we pick up right where we left off.
One of the highlights of this reunion is that Stan recently made the move from Washington, D.C. to San Diego. After all these years, we’re finally all on the West Coast. That made this reunion feel even more special.
Looking at these pictures, I don’t see four different moments…
I see nearly 50 years of history.
I see trust.
I see loyalty.
I see memories that money could never buy.
The older I get, the more I realize that success isn’t measured by what you own—it’s measured by the people who have walked through life with you and are still there decades later.
Brotherhood like this is rare.
I’m grateful that after almost 50 years, we can still sit on the same steps, laugh at the same stories, create new memories, and appreciate just how blessed we’ve been.
Love y’all, brothers. Here’s to many more years, many more laughs, and hopefully many more recreations of this photo.
Much love. ❤️🙏
