Another item off my bucket list! I had the pleasure of shooting the Oscars this year for Getty Images. Finally getting around to posting a few of my faves of the iconic Nicole Kidman. Fun fact one of my pictures ended up on Vogue! Nicole is wearing a gorgeous Chanel Couture dress, designed by Matthieu Blazy.

Couples love bringing their dog to their engagement shoot, and for good reason. First of all, their pup is part of the family. And second, they might get lucky and end up with photos like these. Taken by L.A. documentary photographer Matei Horvath , this shot puts the pup front and center and makes the couple look like supporting characters. What a great way to capture the furry friend who plays a leading role in this couple’s lives.

One of my favorite wedding couple portraits shot at Terranea of Nishi and Will.
Nowadays, with everyone holding on to their cellphones, the trend is to shoot vertically, to match the orientation of the screen.
The way I was trained, the ‘rule of thumb’ was: if the lines are horizontal in a composition, shoot horizontal and if the lines are vertical, shoot vertical. So what happens like, in this case, where the lines are very much diagonal? I think both compositions work, but I prefer the horizontal as it shows more of the texture of the grass. Which one do you guys prefer? Let me know, I’m curious!
