Before we founded , we owned and operated . The restaurant industry is tough, the folks who run it - even tougher, and it’s why respite and time to heal and re-energize, while fleeting, is so much needed. Props to the 👑 at for making this event happen recently. Proud we could be part of your day. 👊🏽

Last week, on the night of the new moon, we hosted an intimate evening get-together for whichever RE:Her sistHERs could get the night off (from work, from omicron, from childcare). The night was centered around a soundbath.
For 45 min, we got 45 *busy* restaurant-running women to lay down on yoga mats, covered in blankets. And just … be. To speak for all the women, it was d i v i n e. Thank you so much to , our beautiful and talented soundbath facilitators.
We asked each other who felt guilty for taking the time. We shared vulnerable details of what we’re dealing with, coping with, and intending to do about it. We laughed so, so much! We were definitely rocked emotionally when Sarah Simms () of took the time to share with us what her 2021 was like, getting over 600 hours of chemo after a sudden cancer diagnosis. (She had portable chemo and could still go to the farmers’ market!)
So much about the night we will keep close to hearts. We were fed by , Sara Fakhfouri’s Culver City cafe, plus, and . Women-founded and kept us gorgeously hydrated! Thank you always to for championing all that we do. Big big thanks to for allowing us to create such a safe space in your stunning Shangri-la in the heart of Boyle Heights. All the lovely photography by .a.momma. Thank you to all the women. 💞
