When I tell you I LOVE making custom art for the people that trust me with their vision.

Anthony came to me with an idea. We go through all the looks, the vibe, the setup. All the details. Then one day I had a thought...

I said, "What if we bring all these characters together into one showstopping piece for your stairwell?”

Sold. Done deal. Make it happen right now.

✈️ He flew in allllll the way from Philadelphia and we made portrait magic.

What you see is a glorious 5-foot framed canvas designed and handmade just for him and his space. It doesn’t get any more custom than that.

A lot of people hold off on doing a session because they don’t feel ready yet. They feel like they need more confidence or need to know what they’re doing first, but that’s not really how it works. That part tends to come after you start, not before.

Give yourself permission to step outside your comfort zone. Some really incredible images happen when you do!

Joseph’s become a wonderful friend in a short period of time. When you click, you click. So when he mentioned wanting to explore modeling, naturally I had to get him in front of the camera. We spent the whole day creating and exploring different looks/vibes. Here’s one set from our session.

I’ve been doing this a while, and I've noticed five common mistakes men make before and during sessions. None are deal breakers, but they can get in the way of photos you’ll really love.

1. Not Knowing What You Want Out of the Session
It sounds simple, but knowing what you want your photos to say makes a huge difference. It helps me design a custom session that really fits your style and goals.

2. Not Taking the Wardrobe Advice or Prep Tips Seriously
Clothes might seem like a small thing, but they set the tone and affect how you feel. Ignoring prep can make the photos look less polished or authentic.

3. Letting Fear Take Over and Not Enjoying the Process
Feeling nervous is normal. The key is not letting those nerves stop you from relaxing and having fun, which always shows in the pictures.

4. Not Being Open to Creative Exploration During the Shoot
Sometimes the best shots come from trying new ideas or changing things up. Being open to that can lead to some seriously incredible photos.

5. Booking Your Session on a Busy Day
If you rush your shoot or try to fit it into a packed day, it’s harder to be present and relaxed. Giving yourself time makes a big difference.

Most men don’t get portraits done unless they’re getting married or their job makes them.

But honestly? You don’t need a “big reason” to do something cool for yourself. You’ve lived, grown, survived some things, and probably leveled up a few times, so why not document that?

Why I Primarily Photograph Men

When I tell people I focus on men, they usually pause and say, “Oh really?” Like it’s a surprise.

Once I explain why, it starts to make sense.

A lot of men grow up with a traditional view of masculine expression. That they can't be soft, vulnerable or everything in between. They’re not often encouraged to take a moment for themselves and just be.

I photograph men to give them that space. To show them the beautiful works of art that they are and to create a space for creative expression.
