Spencer Williams is a triple threat, writer, director, and actor this man told the stories of blacks through every medium he could get his hands on. When he created "The Blood of Jesus" it is truly a magic opus telling the story of Black church. In fact it was the first racially charged film that The Library of Congress accepted.

Maria P. Williams was the first Black female Producer. She wrote the book "My Work and Public Sentiment " that chronicled her journey as an activist and donated 10% of the earnings towards "the suppression of crime towards Blacks".

She also created a Newspaper "Women's Voice" which focused on historical politics. She produced the film "Flames of Wrath", it is rumoured that she directed this as well, however we will never know as only one frame of the film exists.
