Truth story: I convinced Mulan and Carlos to marry on 6/26/26; I liked the number! I also helped them to choose where to get married. What?!

Sometimes, I'm lucky enough to have couples who know they want me, but everything else is undecided. So we figure things out together.

Mulan and Carlos first met in middle school band, reconnected in high school, and eventually realized they had found someone they could completely be themselves around. ❤️

Mulan may be a little more Type A while Carlos is the laid-back one who keeps her grounded, and their wedding San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings was a beautiful celebration of a story that started all those years ago in middle school. 💛

I still can’t believe I got to be part of the whole thing - from helping them figure out the where and when to documenting the actual day. What a freaking honor.

One day, your wedding won't be the most recent chapter of your life.

Years will pass. People will grow older. Some faces will change, and some people you love may no longer be sitting around your dinner table.

Your wedding photos will quietly become one of the few ways to visit that day again.

Not because everything was perfect, but because everyone was there.

You'll notice your dad's smile. Your mom fixing your outfit. Your grandparents laughing together. Friends who have since moved away. The people who made your life what it was in that season.

That's when you'll understand that wedding photos were never just about the couple.

They were about preserving a moment in your family's history that will never exist again.

That's why they matter. 💛

A backyard wedding in Anaheim Hills, but with family coming together from China, Guatemala, LA, and Orange County. ❤️

They met through a mutual friend and quickly connected over their matching sense of humor. With his family traveling from China and members of her family coming from Guatemala, their wedding became an especially meaningful chance to have so many of their favorite people together in one place. Two cultures, two families, and one very personal celebration right at home.

And of course, their two dogs had to be part of the story too: Gina and Charles, their mini Goldendoodles. 🐾💛

Fiona was nearly seven months pregnant with her baby boy when she married the love of her life at Il Cielo, and she looked absolutely stunning. ❤️

She came to me wanting wedding photos that felt authentic, feminine, relaxed, and never cheesy. With an intimate celebration of only a handful of people, the focus stayed exactly where it belonged: on Fiona, her growing family with Michael, and the people they love most. Getting to document such a beautiful season of her life all at once made this day even more meaningful.

I loved Cathy’s vision immediately.

All black and white.

Black and white outfits. Black and white decor. And every photo from that day in black and white.

I’d never photographed a wedding this way before, and it was SO much fun.

There’s something about black and white photos. Without all the color, you start noticing everything else; the light, the expressions, the little gestures, the movement, the way people are connecting.

It somehow makes everything feel a little more timeless, a little more cinematic, and a whole lot more emotional.

And because the entire room was dressed for it, the photographs felt like their own little world.

Such a fun idea of Cathy (the mother of the groom,) and one I’m definitely going to remember. 🖤🤍

Almost eight years together, three dogs, and now MARRIED. ❤️

These two are laid back, goofy, and always find a reason to laugh together. I got to see that during their engagement session too, where they made pizza together and basically just had fun being with each other. 🍕

Their wedding at Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins had that same energy. Relaxed, playful, and surrounded by the people they love. After getting to know them before the wedding, it was so special to come back and document this next part of their story. 💛
