Together with Brett Stanley Photography, we built a theatre - a dream universe - underwater.
For years I’ve carried the memory of my first childhood room with me. For Floating Alchemist, I wanted to recreate it in the most impossible way I could imagine.
It is part altar, part dream and part haunted Hollywood dressing room. An ode to the fleeting, the magical and the beautifully transient.
We spent over a month gathering objects, props and fragments of memory, then lowered them beneath the surface one by one until an entirely new world emerged.
For a few brief hours, this room existed underwater!
If you look closely, you’ll find clues hidden throughout the set: pieces of my story, echoes of old films, and artefacts from the universe of Floating Alchemist (and previous albums!!).
Today, the doors to the album preorder opened for the first people on the waitlist.
