Ladies and gentlemen meet Chris Carmack. Another celebrity meeting that I was not expecting today. It went down as I was waiting at valet at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena when he and his family (wife, children, parents-maybe in laws) were casually walking into the main entrance. For some insane reason I looked over and innocently said “hey, you’re an actor and I’ve seen you somewhere. You’re famous but I don’t know your name.” Wow that didn’t come out right but he was ever so gracious to walk up and shake my hand. Wouldn’t you know it I tried to recover by asking him if he’s been in movies or shows that I would’ve seen. “Yes as a matter of fact I’m on Grey’s Anatomy and Nashville.” No, I don’t know you from those shows but maybe an older show back in the day. Maybe The OC he says? Yes I mistakenly thought the show was back in the 90s, actually the 1890s! The OC aired for 5 seasons (2003-2007) which were the best years of my life but that’s another story.! Well he told me his name was Chris Carmack but for some reason IG kept prompting me to McCormack. Probably I was misspelling it as I was maneuver the winding roads of South Pasadena. I was quickly corrected of his when a friend’s wife recognized him from the show Nashville. Well much to my delight I now follow him and his lovely wife who was a great sport letting her husband talk to a complete stranger. Unwittingly I forced him to list off his acting career (IMDB page) before I was satisfied that he was legit. I hope he knows that I was just starstruck and he found my banter as friendly and pure admiration for his talent. I’ll add that he was super complimentary and approachable and even thought that I was a musician finishing up when he mistook my camera case as music cases with stands. He’s a man of character and warmth and I’m now a bigger fan than before! Please enjoy my photo with him and I know you ladies who follow him will look upon this with envy! How dare I didn’t know his name!
