BTS from a recent shoot with our wonderful friends and partners WE ARE RISE INC 🤩

We are currently producing a 3 ep podcast series titled F.L.O.W (Future Leaders Of Water).

Program mentees recently embarked on a journey of discovery as they researched and learnt about their cultural and historical relationship to water, explored what that looks like in the present and imagined a future of responsible resource stewardship and protection.

They then collated and presented their findings in a roundtable/ podcast setting. It was a joy listening to these intelligent and passionate young women discuss these topics.

The future is in good hands!

We are beyond excited to share this with you!

Meet Koji Okamoto, a beloved member of our community and the star of this powerful new film.

Koji’s story is one of courage, love, and adventure. When he set out on a heroic journey across the Pacific Ocean to reunite with his family one last time, he collected one final passport stamp: the epilogue to a lifetime of travel and exploration.

But ‘The Last Stamp’ is more than a story about one man’s journey. It’s an intimate portrait of dignity and discovery. It challenges us to look beyond assumptions about disability and aging, and to see the rich, vibrant inner lives all around us.

Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give someone is helping them reclaim a forgotten identity.

This film also shines a light on The Roland Center’s pioneering, world-first model of specialized dementia care services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Under the leadership of Dr. Thomas Buckley, we’re on a mission to ensure that everyone with IDD living with dementia receives the precision of care they deserve so they can continue living rich, engaged, and meaningful lives well beyond diagnosis.

A collection of stills we captured from a recent shoot for WE ARE RISE INC, documenting their 7th Annual High Tea Party.

This non profit is a terrific organization, focused on mentoring and uplifting girls and young women of color in Los Angeles.

We were proud to partner with them on this project.

As well as stills, we created a full 3:30 minute video and a 60 sec socials reel (we’ll share these soon).

Capturing real life events in a compelling way is a great way for non profits and mission-driven organizations to share with and build their community, as well as amplifying their mission and attracting awareness to their cause.

We turned live event coverage into something more than just an “event recap”, “highlight video” or “aftermovie” as they are commonly referred to.

We told a story.

Of an organization’s impact. Of a community and its shared values. Of a founder and their vision.

We created something that guests and attendees can return to and remember what a time was had and what it meant to be there.

Something that new eyes, seeing it for the first time, can be inspired by.

Video ≠ just video.

It is story. Documentation. A record. A vehicle that moves people and drives action.
