It been a Christmas of fulfilled dreams. In 1996 I told my mom I wanted a shark shirt more than anything else. We took a trip to San Francisco that year and we thought it would be easy to find a cornucopia of shark shirts.. we were wrong. We walked around all day but only saw turtles, sea lions, and dolphins.. the dream of a shark shirt was dead. I shared this story with my sister a few weeks ago and and this year for white elephant she fulfilled my dream of owning a tacky shark shirt. If you’re wondering.. I didn’t cry but I glistened. Don’t judge if the next 3 weeks you only see me repping my new shark shirt. Merry Christmas to all ❤️

Yesterday marks the 8th anniversary of our engagement. I’ll never forget the 3 hour drive from Dallas to Austin that Christmas Eve. I didn’t stop smiling the whole way home. You’ve always been the biggest blessing in my life and that will never change. I love you with all my heart ❤️

Teeny is about to turn 5 in a couple weeks. Crazy to think in this photo she wasn’t even 4 years old. She asked me to pick her up and hold her the other day and my knee jerk reaction was “you’re too big for that kind of coddling” but another thought immediately crossed my mind.. “she won’t ask me for much longer” I scooped her up and held her close. A day is coming when she won’t ask me anymore and those early precious years of my girls being little will be gone. I’m reminding myself often to pick them up and hold them as much as I can.
