I am a street photographer but, while most images I make are on some street or another, I am not a strict adherent to genre definition. Sometimes I work with a handheld camera and wide-angle lens, searching out chance encounters and random incidents. Other times I employ tilt-shift lenses and substantial off-camera lighting to produce urban landscapes or portraits of inanimate objects. My techniqu

es may change but my interests are consistent: the relationship between humans and the built environment, how people construct, modify, and fill in the physical world to meet their needs and what our built worlds then says about us.
