Very excited to finally post The Carnival of Dreams - a short documentary film I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot with photographer Ian Rhuter, actor Gary Oldman and Director Lauren Vance. Its incredible to think of the turn of events to how this opportunity came about - being out in Slab City for a week is an experience. I turned up at a house in the middle of the desert to spend 8 days with a group of people I'd never met, turned out to be some of the best memories I have. Such honesty, credibility and depth in our conversations each day, a vast departure from my daily interactions in Los Angeles. The struggles each day go way beyond what you see in this film, this was a two day period in the middle when Gary Oldman came out to work with Ian. Like Gary said, it felt like family. Thank you for the memories!
