I didn’t become a photographer because I loved perfect pictures.

I became one because I’ve always been drawn to the moments that are easy to miss while you’re living them.

I’m Helen — a Los Angeles newborn and family photographer, and a mom of two.

Becoming a mother changed the way I see photographs even more. I started noticing how quickly everything changes, and how often the most ordinary little moments become the ones we end up missing the most.

That’s a big part of why I photograph families the way I do.

I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for connection, personality, the way your baby settles into your arms, the way siblings interact, the little details of your home, and all the things that make your family feel like yours.

There’s something I love about photographing a newborn at home.

It’s never just about the baby.

It’s about all those sentimental, meaningful little details that belong to your family.

I love imagining your kids grown up one day, looking through these photos and recognizing their favorite toys… remembering the pets who were there, curious and happy to meet them when they first came home.

There are moms whose journey to motherhood didn’t begin with two pink lines.
It began with waiting. Hoping. Appointments. Patience.

And I’ve always had a special admiration for those women. 🤍

Both of my boys came into my life through IVF, so I understand this path more personally than most — with a deep respect for everything it can take to finally hold your baby in your arms.

Maybe that’s why it means so much to me when moms share their stories with me.
Their strength. Their happiness. Their long-awaited little miracles.

And being able to preserve these first moments for them feels incredibly special every single time.

Skip the studio.

Honestly, most newborn sessions don’t need one.

You already have everything you need at home. Your baby is comfortable there. You’re comfortable there.

And you don’t have to pack half your house, get everyone dressed, drive somewhere, and hope the baby stays asleep on the way.

I come to you.

We use the best light in your home, take breaks when needed, and move at your baby’s pace.

Your home also makes the photos feel more personal years later — the nursery you spent months putting together, the couch where you fed them at 3am, your dog trying to be involved.

That’s real life. And that’s usually what people want to remember.

And no, your home doesn’t need to be huge or “Instagram perfect.”
