Happy Holidays from the Pettinato Peres crew! Hope that you’re feeling very merry - however you celebrate 🎄✨

It might be a rainy day in the GTA, but this Canadian is oh so grateful to have spent the holiday season in Toronto (and we did get a little snow - hadn’t seen it in two whole years) ❄️

It certainly hasn’t been the festive season we anticipated (ahem, thanks insane travel situations and omicron), but after the last two years of this seemingly never-ending pandemic… I am happy to be cozy at home with family and friends ❤️

Here’s hoping 2022 brings you and yours and all of us only good things 🥂

Happy Halloween… and ROOTS METALS]]] Day 🧿🔮✨

I never share on the grid, but I did some work for the ROOTS METALS]]] Fairy Tale Collection and it launches at noon (PST) 🧚‍♂️

In addition to the launch of the jewelry collection, you can also purchase Debbie’s BOOK (!!!) - The Witches of Escazú (and Other Jewish Fairytales), that comes out today too!

I had the opportunity to read an early draft and I promise you won’t be disappointed. The writing is so beautiful, and is accompanied by ’s amazing illustrations. You’ll even find one of my photos in it 😉📸

I am so proud of my friend for all of her hard work on this project. There’s nothing better than making magic with a crew of awesome creatives. Watching (and helping) my friends make their ideas come to life just makes my heart feel really full 🖤

There it is again, that funny feeling...

I may have watched ’s “Inside” 3x. I laughed. I cried. I felt inspired to create. And then, also kinda like I never want to use social media or the internet ever again 😬

I guess that makes it sort of weird to be posting, but it’s late and I’m bored - so why not. Here’s a self portrait I took tonight 📸

Was definitely feeling the feelz. I have hair pomade in my brows. I bought a summer toque / beanie, because that’s apparently a thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Neon dreams ⚡️

Something I have struggled with throughout the last year, is feeling like I’m not *doing* enough. Like I’m not creating enough, or being productive at all.

But when I sit back and think about it, that’s just not true. This might look like just a photo, but SO MUCH WORK went into this image.

designed the jewelry for her Radioactive Collection (launches Apr 8, including this t-shirt that I drewwww). And we worked together to make her vision come to life ✨

Debbie’s hairstylist, gave her this badass pink hair color 💕

constantly blows me away with her makeup skills (seriously, please go check out her page - she is amazing) and she recreated Debbie’s fishtail braids from the other day 😍

I concepted, designed and organized printing for the t-shirt that Debbie is wearing. This is a sample, but we are going to work with another local artist to screen print the final product 🎨

I made the press on gel nails lol (quarantine hobby) 💅

I made a moodboard for this shoot. I sourced and made props. I styled this look (that’s my beanie lol).

I even PAINTED my own filter to shoot through (that green blob is neon green paint on an acrylic disc that I’m holding in front of my camera).

I stopped sharing here, because honestly, I’m kind of tired and bored of this space. I put SO MUCH of myself into my work.

We all do.

And it feels weird that this is the only place that it lives...

I don’t know what I am trying to say.

Keep making things, or don’t. But either way, be kind to yourself. We are all just doing our best.

Had ourselves a cozy little Christmas 🌲

The holiday season is definitely different this year, but one thing is for sure - it has been full of so much love ❤️

We decided to stay put in California (because Covid), and I tried to squeeze every bit of light that I could into these dark days ✨

Feeling very grateful for:

❄️ All the zoom parties
❄️ The FaceTime calls
❄️ A never ending sweet table of homemade goods
❄️ Pretty florals + greenery
❄️ Sparkly decorations
❄️ Twinkle lights everywhere
❄️ My family and friends, in general, but also for responding enthusiastically to all my holiday DIY’s for the last month
❄️ These two guys! They’ve made the last few days feel very merry (despite the circumstances) 💕

Started my winter vacation a day early and I’m not mad about it 🤓

My big plans for the day?

❤️ Baking chocolate chip + walnut cookies 🍪
❤️ Gift wrapping because my living room looks like a shipping depot 🎁
❤️ Finishing the illustration of my Christmas tree that I’ve been working on for too long 🎄

let it snow ❄️

I am feeling a little nostalgic for seasons passed this year... usually I would be YYZ-bound for winter break right about now ⛄️

Instead, I am doing my best to make a little magic, so our home feel cozy + merry + bright ✨
To slow down.
