I fall into rabbit holes daily.

SAKA messenger bag, c 1999. I remember when Leslie bought this, she was working at a hot-sh*t IP law firm in Century City. It replaced a well-worn daypack with a wobbly zipper.

I’d been thrashing around looking for a messenger bag, I’d seen several Grade-B Amazon messenger bags. Build quality varied. I wasn’t good with any of them. Then I turned around in my office, and saw this black whale that I’d found this in Leslie’s basement after she passed. This is the smaller one.

Then I looked online for this brand. Not a peep. There’s something by SAK, but they’re dainty women’s crossbody items.

I found the one that works. Her hair clip was still inside it.
