Always a pleasure seeing Laidback Luke live! I've had the pleasure to meet him in person twice now, and this time I had an opportunity thanks to my buddy DJ CAST who hired me on to help him with the T0M3 project.
The conversations I was able to share with him in a small setting, talking about kungfu, taichi, and bjj *which i am a kungfu practitioner and a martial arts instructor* as well as a forever student... were amazing 🙏
We shared a bit about our experiences and I would one day hope we could train together and share knowledge of our respective styles. 🥋🥋🥋
He also spoke about music, and how he brings his martial art mindset into his sets. It was definitely inspiring and also interesting how he thinks this way. Because i also share that in common with him in regards to my own workflow.
Definitely excited for the next show, i cant wait to see whats next, and what he cooks up. His sets are always so different and a pleasure to be a part of. In my opinion, this was one of the best shows I had ever seen him play. There was nothing but 🔥🔥🔥
The photos I snapped were with my C50, I was using a 24-70 at f2.8 with the new PolarPro® cineflow filter. It was my first gig using it, and even though it took me a second to get my bearings, once I figured out how to find that sweet spot for this event, I let it flow.
Some of the funnest images I've ever captured, and I cant wait to show the video of what it looked like in 24 and 60 frames. 📸📸📸
Huge shoutout to Cast/T0m3 for working so hard and achieving one of his dreams, which was to play as a opener for laidback luke. This was definitely one for the books, and im super excited to see where he goes next! 🗓📈
