Having haters used to make sense when I was doing cool s**t and dating super hit women. Now that nothing in my life is cool and obviously not dating hot women I find it strange that I still catch haters. It's like they hate me no matter what I do. Oh well. I'm not gonna change for you haters. I'm not gonna change for anyone. I'm gonna keep going in the career that God chose for me. Nothing fun about it. Nothing glamorous about it. No decent living wages about it. Yet still

If you think we do this job for fun...wrong. If anyone thinks we do this job for money they're wrong. If anyone thinks we do this job for the perks they're wrong. If anyone thinks we do this job for the insane hours on our feet they're wrong. If anyone thinks we do this job for the benefits they're wrong. If anyone thinks we do this job for the retirement options they're wrong. If anyone thinks we do this job for the dating opportunities they're wrong if anyone thinks we do this job for the terrible sleep schedule they're wrong. We do this job because most of us were fighting bullies likely twice our size when we were still small. We continued fighting bullies until we were bigger and meaner than them even though we didn't become like them. We stayed true to our core belief of not harming women and children or innocent people in general. We don't do this job for any reason other than because we are good at it and most other men won't do it and when we do it sometimes we feel good about what we do...even though society doesn't even call us first responders (we pass bodies off to first responders) even though society doesn't give us a union or living wages or medical insurance (or any benefits for that matter) We do this job even when we are off duty. In fact we are never off duty. We help out in almost all violent and chaotic situations anywhere and everywhere we go. It's hard to explain and although I've been single since leaving my marriage twice (because I didn't make enough money as a security director) I have dated during that time and none of the women understood why I didn't just become a 9 to 5 type guy or a real estate agent or some other job that makes more money for less work and less stress and less bodily injuries. They don't understand because we would shrivel up into shells of our former selves. Instead of being stronger, bolder, wiser, more aware and more keen and striking a job like that would make us lazy, useless, soft handed, benevolent, complacent, boring and MOST importantly a job like that would make us a pointless existence. If we make the 10 o'clock news or not. We know we at least contributed to society DAILY -->

It's my birthday at midnight. I'm blessed to be alive. I'm blessed to be passionate about a career helping people even though I'm still blue collar and can't afford to live in my home state I still feel blessed and thankful to be an American. My father's lineage is scots-irish founders of this nation. Excited for our 250 year birthday. 4th of July has always been my favorite holiday. Bbq and music and good people and fireworks. Doesn't get any better than that. This year I'll prob be working security in Vegas. I'm trying to get into working the box seats at raider stadium and new As baseball stadium. I pray we return to a more rational justice system and we bring back the death penalty for bad folks. I pray we reform the bulls**t interactions and misdemeanor over policing and end the surveillance state. I pray we unite outside of political parties as mavericks building a better future and safer world for our children. I pray we BAN ISLAM.
