Santa Clara County Fire units are responding to the scene.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to use caution, reduce speed, and be aware of potential traffic impacts as emergency crews work in the area.

Friends and family, our hearts are broken. The unimaginable happened — my beloved niece Lailah, only 3 years old, tragically drowned and passed away.

Old Faithful usually shoots water into the air… not car parts.

This morning, one driver decided to test whether a fire hydrant was as sturdy as it looks. Spoiler alert: it is.

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, but the crash serves as a reminder that it only takes a moment of inattention to turn an ordinary drive into an expensive morning.

Slow down, stay focused, and keep the only thing hitting a fire hydrant to be the water when firefighters need it.

Large Protest Held Near Gilroy

A large group of demonstrators marched to oppose a proposed ICE detention center that would be located in unincorporated Santa Clara County near Gilroy.

Organizers say participants came from Gilroy, the Central Coast, and the Bay Area.
