Aurora Borealis showing off in Green!

High above the coastal fog on Highway 46 between Cambria and Paso Robles, California. I'll be posting more shots of this incredible event soon.

Morro Bay and surrounding areas are where the orange lights are on the right. To the left of the image is Cuesta College, and more. What a night...there could be more of this lightshow over the next couple of nights.

In nearly 50 years of living on the Central Coast I've never seen the Aurora Borealis here, much less one that was this strong! We're pretty far south compared to North Pole/Alaska area where these happen frequently.

And it was my first time shooting the Aurora, strange to say, but true. I'm hooked!! Shot with a Nikon Z72.
