What makes you the most nervous before a photoshoot?

Many of my couple ask me about posing and comment that they’re not sure what to do. My response is always, that’s why you hire a photographer! ✨

One of my biggest goals and roles as a wedding photographer is to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I like to provide a mix of specific poses along with some fun prompts to help create those natural moments. I love it when by the end of a photo shoot my clients stop worrying about the camera and just enjoy the moment together. 🤍

Someone asked me recently if during a wedding day I took more candid photos or staged.

My answer was yes to both..

My approach on a wedding day is to be a fly on the wall in the in between moments like guests arriving, a quiet moment with your family before the ceremony, partying at the reception. Your wedding day naturally unfolds and I do my best to capture it genuinely as it happens.

I also want to make sure my couples have those forever photos they’ll show to friends and families for decades to come. The posed photos of family all smiling that you’ll hang on the wall or print in that photo book of your day.

When it comes to couples portraits and the bridal party, my favorite approach is to give a prompt and capture the genuine moments that follow.

My main goal is to provide each of my couples with moments captured in time that they can return to time and time again in the future. 🤍
