Speaking in Tongues. I struggle with posting this one. I think it captures too much in the frame. Another outing to Eastern Cemetery may help my focus.

At the Whistlestop. This intersection in Clarkson always attracts me because of the high contrast and crisscrossing power lines. I am not sure this captures what I see, but I will keep passing by.

Old Friends. I have taken this stand of trees in various states of decay. This time, the image may have been fogged by the dreaded “fat roll” effect, resulting in the unusual tones. It may be difficult to print later, but I am excited to see if I can match today’s results.

Chitter Chatter. A certain photographer did a wonderful series based on the ornamental corn plants, which of course, were a beautiful study of tonality. I thought I would take the opposite approach when I saw this distressed bunch. Definitely a poor visual pun, but sometimes you just shoot what you see.

Black Locust Tree in Repose. Here is an alternate view of the leaning black locust tree.

Stunted Growth. Cave Hill Cemetery has a unique method of pruning the Ginkgo trees, whereby branches are trimmed close to their origin. It leads to the stumpy appearance of some Ginkgos.

Outstretch. I walked through Floyd’s Fork in early March, getting ready for trip out west. Beautiful day except the run off and mud on the trails.

Open Wide. From Caperton Swamp early spring. Now that the tree canopy is full, it will be difficult to find.

Black Locust in Bloom. This is my submission for Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, April 26. Technically, I photographed this image over the weekend. But when the spirit moves you, you go for it. Sometime during the recent storms, this tree had fallen down at the Falls of the Ohio. It is now awkwardly propped up and blooming. The geometry attracted me enough to take this image.
