sometimes the most unlikely spots make for stunning shots. I love doing hiking shoots where we can pull off to the sides of trails and create dramatic separation of the foreground and subject! there’s always vegetation and plants everywhere, it’s perfect for adding depth to a photo 🫶🏻

switching between shooting a hearing dog & a deaf dog was interesting! every time I tried to get Feta’s attention, Riley would remind me she can’t hear me. there goes my usual attention grabbers! luckily Riley was able to pose her perfectly with hand motions, so we still got beautiful shots.

this one was my favorite, though. I love the small moments where your dog is silly or wants your affection - those are the best moments in my opinion!

I’ve had the joy of photographing Walker at many events over the years. he may be small, but this tiny burnt loaf can FLY off the dock and catching discs! I 🫶🏻 all of the mini sized sport dogs that come to our local events!

I don’t advertise myself as a couples photographer, but I’m happy to step out of my comfort zone for my friends 🫶🏻

my approach to human portraits is much different than dog portraits! for dogs, it’s a lot of posing and luring into the correct, flattering position. for humans I prefer to give prompts to get the most candid-like photos I can!

tomorrow we’ll resume the dog content, just had to share these 💅🏻
