As the busiest months of my year are approaching way too soon, here are a few reminders from your livestock photographer, the friend who’s on the road every single day, and the girl who can’t keep her mouth shut to save her life:

• My FRIENDS still pay for my work.

• The ones who understand that I respond 2–5 business days later (because I’m human and busy) will always mean more than the ones upset that I haven’t made plans this month.

• COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY.

• I EXPECT nothing. Respect and trust have to be EARNED everywhere I go.

• You can’t learn if you don’t take the time to listen.

• Try putting yourself in the shoes of the people you’re tempted to judge.

• Get out. Go see something that’s not your “normal.” Embrace the differences and remember growth isn’t comfortable.

As I gear up to be in eight states over the next 45 days, I’ve been reminding myself of these truths. If I told you it’s easy and awesome being your own boss at 21, I’d be lying. But… I don’t have a single spot left this fall, so I guess I’ll have to schedule “doubting myself” for later.

Stay kind.

If you want to smile big and leave with a full heart, spend an evening with the Setliks. 💛

Pat reached out with the sweetest request—to capture their family around a special cottonwood tree at the end of their driveway. Of course I said yes (after double-checking I could take photos of something not livestock-related 😂). A family full of grit, heart, and good laughs—so grateful to help freeze this moment in time.

Welllllll uhhhh… Hey friends! It’s been what seems like forever, but I’m here with a little excitement 😁

First order of business, let me reintroduce myself to you who have been around and formally introduce myself to those of you who are new here!

My name is DeLynn Day, and I am the owner of 3D Media, formerly 3D Imaging (whoop whoop! Let’s go expansion and rebranding!) I was born and raised in central Nebraska, where I grew up showing livestock, which fueled the fire for the passion I have now. Three years ago, I decided to take my love for digital media and livestock and put the camera to work. I was HOOKED! Over the past three years, I have had some of the most humbling experiences taking photos of some of the best livestock in the nation, meeting amazing people, and chasing a dream 14-year-old DeLynn thought could never come true!

With all that said, things do look a little different around here! You’ll slowly see fun little updates in the next month on here and news on what’s up next. But for now, check out the look of the new website and tell your friends 😉
