Even with one of the best low-light cameras on the market, these landscape photographs are difficult to master when shooting into the light and a backlit jutting butte. This photo was enhanced using post-editing features, but I thought it came out great! Pawnee National Grasslands, Colorado.

Nothing beats a sunrise trek through the Pawnee Buttes. ❄️ Even at -8°F, the right gear made the morning walk easy, and the light hitting those formations was the perfect reward. Definitely worth the early start for that sub-zero glow.

2025 was a year of 'quiet' beauty and a major changing of the guard.

After seven years and tens of thousands of shutter clicks, my trusty DSLR (which has been by my side since 2018!) finally kicked the bucket. It was a bittersweet goodbye, but it paved the way for a massive upgrade.

I’ve officially made the jump to Mirrorless, and a few of these shots are some of the first results from that transition.

I’m planning to use this new tech to push the boundaries of my landscape photography in 2026. There’s something about a still landscape that tells a whole story if you look close enough—and now I have the resolution to capture every detail.
