Details from our Feb park session. It was so fun to photograph the kids playing in the playground. Activity based sessions can be a refreshing change of pace. It's a great way to let kids be themselves and feel comfortable getting their picture taken.

I have some bucket list sessions I would love to accomplish this year:

-large family farms with heavy equipment
-playing in the garden

Hi! 👋 I'm Emily, family photographer, freelance designer, mom of 1 kiddo & 2 dogs.

Being a mom is my favorite thing. But I'm also a realist. This gig is HARD!! I think moms are magic, and I love finding ways to be more supportive of fellow moms on this crazy journey. I will always do everything in power to, ONE make sure the kids stay safe and, TWO make sure mom feels supported. I feel this way in my sessions and in daily life.

Real talk, I haven't been posting a whole lot on social media lately. Advocating for the safety of kids and then posting pictures of them on the internet feels contradictory, especially in the current climate. And I'm really not sure how to navigate those feelings. I LOVE this job. I think its so important. And I want to keep doing it and keep sharing these beautiful images. I just have to find a way to do it that feels right for me. I will never judge another person or photographer for choosing to share images online. And everyone I photograph gets the chance to opt out of public sharing.

I still haven't figured out how to move forward with sharing images publicly. So if I seem quiet, that's why. I'm still here, still working and photographing all the wonderful local families, seniors, couples etc... And I hope this year I get to see you and your lovely families. Sending love and light to you all!! ✨️

So happy to get back into in-home lifestyle sessions after a busy Oct-Dec! These sessions are so personal and every single one is incredibly unique. It's not about having a picture perfect life, its about documenting your family as they are now (although Samantha has such a gorgeous home & family 🩷). I seriously cannot pick a favorite image. They're all so special!!
