Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt— places that if you know me, you know them and if you know these places you probably love them too.
Even in a time where devastation has become the theme of so many hearts and lives and news feeds, I see people outdoing one another in showing honor, being fervent in Spirit and serving the Lord. Though the tangible effects of service are going forward, I see so many turning to prayer, leaning into divine patience and hope that is contrary to our humanity. Above all else, I see family, the local church, friends and so many strangers living out what it means to “contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)
As familiar names come across articles and posts on Facebook, I find myself so broken for the loss these friends are experiencing. Also left asking the same question you probably are— what can I do?
In hopes of supporting two families in the Kerrville area, I am selling tickets for two free sessions (family, graduate, couple, maternity/newborn, bridal) in the Hill Country area or West Texas with all proceeds going directly to the Vazquez family whose homes was affected by the recent Guadalupe River Flood. If you have an upcoming session booked with me, your session would be free!
•Tickets are $25 each and you are more than welcome to purchase as many as you’d like!
•All contributions will be equally divided and given directly to the families. I will also link their GoFundMe in my bio if you’d rather give directly.
•Accepting Venmo (-findley1) as this is the easiest means to tracking your contributions!
•Tickets are available for purchase today, 7/10 through Monday 7/14 at midnight
Winners announced and will be contacted Tuesday July 15th.
And even then, would you consider praying for this time of suffering to stir up the hearts of people near and far… that we all might grow in curiosity of where hope is found, how grief can be held in tandem with joy, and what makes God still good and life worth persevering through in the face of utter desolation💙💚
