If I can give you any advice as a 2025 bride and wedding photographer, itās: HIRE THE DAY OF COORDINATOR/ WEDDING PLANNER.
But what if your venue already comes with a coordinator? Donāt worry, there are some huge differences that make it worth having both on your big day. A venue coordinator and a day-of coordinator are not the same and knowing the differences can completely change your wedding experience.
A venue coordinator is there to manage the venue itself: the building, the rules, the logistics tied to the space. A day-of coordinator (or planner) is there to manage your wedding day: your timeline, your vendors, and all the moving pieces so you donāt have to.
When there isnāt someone coordinating the day, that responsibility often falls on the photographer. And while weāre always happy to help, our role is to document your story, not run the timeline.
Having a dedicated coordinator allows your vendors to do their jobs well and allows you to be fully present, relaxed, and enjoying every moment of your wedding day.
The result? A calmer day. More presence. And images that feel effortless and true to you.
