I met this sweet family during my Christmas Minis last year, and they came back to me for maternity pictures. 🫶🏼

During their maternity session, Lindsey asked me, Do you do newborns?
GIRRRRRL let me tell you… I DO NOT 🤣🤣

I told her Now if you want more of a family/lifestyle type newborn session, I can TOTALLY do that! But I am NOT the fancy newborn photographer that does all the wrapping and props. Wish I was, but I’m not! 🤪

Her words Oh no I don’t need 45 basket pictures. Family is what I’d want.
WELLLLL PERFECT I can definitely do that🤭

And here we are… now a beautiful family of FOUR. 💗

Cal is absolutely precious with those curly curls and his big ol’ CHEEEEESE for every single picture I take. 😂 And sweet baby Cameron was just perfect! She stayed awake the ENTIRE session and didn’t even make a peep. 🥹💗

📸 PARENTS of teens!! I’m curious and want your input!

I’ve been noticing a big trend lately with the vintage film/digicam look, especially with seniors and teens. I actually think it’s fun, and if a client wanted that look, I could “possibly” incorporate it into their session! Which in the past I’ve had ppl ask for a moody look so I’ll edit one and send it and they love it but then I send my original edit and they end up going with that!!

But it got me thinking… as a parent, what would YOU rather invest in?

A clean, timeless portrait that you know will print beautifully and you’ll still love hanging on your wall 20 years from now… OR the vintage/film look that’s really popular right now?

I’m not looking to change my photography style I love staying true to the clean, timeless look of my work but I also love knowing what my clients and parents are drawn to, especially as trends change!

There’s no right or wrong answer at all. I’m genuinely curious! 🤍
