STORM ALERT DAYS: Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19 are now FOX 5 Storm Alert Days for the threat of flash flooding and impacts from a tropical system.

Our primary concerns are flooding due to 2"-5"+ of rainfall from Thursday into Friday. Any tornado risk is still not certain, but is being monitored. A Flood Watch is now in effect for much of north Georgia from 8am Thursday through late Friday.

TIMING:
• Thursday: Rain becomes widespread with periods of heavy tropical downpours
• Thursday Night: Highest concern for flooding impacts
• Friday: Continued heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms before gradual improvement later in the day
