Wa, wa, wa Wedding weekend at Fern Lake in Ausable Forks, NY this past Saturday.

What a wonderful couple & family to have the opportunity to photograph. They had this essence about them that is hard to describe. A magnetic, silent energy that flowed through them all. Quiet and genuine.

As much as I like the chaotic nature of a 300 to 400+ mega-party wedding, these intimate ceremonies will always be my favorite to photograph. It's easier to pay attention to the tiny moments between people & feel the frequency of my bride & groom together through out the day.

As crazy as that sounds. :D

With big weddings there is a buzz that can over power that. There is often also a production aspect to large weddings that feels a little, I hate to say it but, "fake". Like a performance that the couple would otherwise not do, and does so solely on "because it's tradition" or social media told them they had to.

With that said, I will always be drawn to a wedding like this. Honest & Simple.

Alright, I gotta get the gossip! Who the h'ail is the photographer that caused the "no photoshoot" policy at High Falls in Chateaugay, NY?

I called them today to see if they would be open in October for Senior Photos and now due to some ass-hat, they have a strict NO PHOTOGRAPHER policy.

What the?!?

In the words of Joe Biden, "Come on, man!"

R.I.P. - To all the photos I'll never get to take of that majestic waterfall. :(

But, in all seriousness: Give me all the skateboarders, abandoned building adventurers, dirt bike riders, field frolickers - artsy, moody, dreamy, whimsical kids. We got Senior Photos to create! :D

Y'all! Ausable Chasm is free for locals this Friday, August 21st.

I was literally just there for a Secret Surprise Proposal like two weeks ago, and it is as majestic as I remember.

I woudn't mind going back and I happened to have this Friday available on my calendar. ;)
