She needs a name! I am overjoyed to show the new DRONE OHIO sled!!! It's a 2019 Buick Regal TourX station wagon, and it's certainly not like your grandparents station wagon!!! It has just about every bell & whistle you can imagine, and I'll be doing just a few more minor tweaks in the near future. I was blessed to have worked at my job for 34 years, and upon retiring scooped a bit of cash off the top of my pile, so I could buy this with cash. Who wants a monthly car payment? Not me, that's for sure! So who's going to come up with the name that fits this vehicle??? I had the OG DroneMobile, then have been in the DroneMoBubble for 3 years now. I think I've talked myself out of the DroneMoWagon name, I think there's a better name out there yet. I have to say again, I am blessed at what I do, and where it's taken me! And I totally appreciate all of our 54,000plus Followers! Adventure is out there!!!

๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๏ธ OHIO RACING HISTORY ROARS BACK TO LIFE! ๐ŸŽ๏ธ๐Ÿ
Hidden among the woods and farmland near Garrettsville, Ohio, the legendary Nelson Ledges Road Course has been thrilling drivers and fans for nearly seven decades! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ
๐Ÿšœ The track began in 1958 when attorney Marvin Drucker and racing enthusiast John McGill carved a one-mile dirt course out of a potato farm. By 1962, the circuit was paved and expanded into the fast, challenging road course racers still love today.
๐Ÿ† Nelson Ledges became famous nationwide for:
๐ŸŽ๏ธ Hosting SCCA Trans-Am races in the 1970s
๐Ÿ๏ธ The legendary 24 Hours of Nelson motorcycle endurance race
๐Ÿš— Inventing showroom-stock endurance racing with the "Longest Day of Nelson"
๐Ÿ›ž Being one of the first tracks in America protected entirely by tire barriers
Unfortunately, by the 1990s the beloved circuit had fallen into disrepair. Major races disappeared, the surface deteriorated, and many feared Ohio's iconic track would be lost forever. ๐Ÿ˜ข
โœจ ENTER THE RESURRECTION! โœจ
Following the death of founder Marvin Drucker, local businessman and racing enthusiast Brian Ross Jr. purchased Nelson Ledges in 2015 and launched an ambitious revival. Since then, millions have been invested in improvements, including:
โœ… Complete repaving of the circuit
โœ… Upgraded pit lane facilities
โœ… Return of endurance racing
โœ… SCCA recertification
โœ… Expansion of track day programs
โœ… Motorcycle racing events
โœ… Karting and driving schools
๐Ÿ Today, Nelson Ledges is once again one of the Midwest's premier grassroots racing facilities, attracting competitors from across the country.
๐Ÿ”ฎ FUTURE PLANS
The ownership continues to modernize the facility while preserving the old-school character that makes Nelson unique. Goals include:
๐Ÿข Continued facility upgrades
๐Ÿ•๏ธ Enhanced camping and spectator amenities
๐ŸŽ๏ธ Expanded racing and track-day schedules
๐Ÿšฆ Additional safety improvements
๐ŸŽฏ Preserving the fast, high-speed layout that racers have loved for generations
โค๏ธ Unlike many classic race tracks that disappeared, Nelson Ledges has survivedโ€”and is thriving once again.
๐Ÿ“ Nelson Ledges Road Course
Garrettsville, Ohio
๐Ÿ“… Established: 1958
๐Ÿ Current Owner: Brian Ross Jr.
From Paul Newman and John Andretti to countless weekend racers, the echoes of speed still thunder through the trees of Portage County. And thanks to its remarkable resurrection, the future of this Ohio treasure looks brighter than ever! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ†

JR called the old man tonight, after he got home from work (3am Italian time). He's been an F-16 jet engine mechanic in the Air Force over 8 years now, currently based in Aviano, Italy. Before he was xfered to Aviano, he was in South Carolina, and his squadron was deployed in the desert. Meanwhile his awesome wife Natalie was on her new base in Aviano, then she got deployed to the sand box too. So they got to hang until JR's squadron was sent back to the States. Then when he packed up and moved to his new base in Aviano. We were hoping Natalie would head back to Aviano, but the bean heads won't put up the white flag of surrender, so poor Nat has been stuck in the sand box for a full year now. Grrrrrr... Anyhow, as you can see from the pics, JR is enjoying the Italian Dolomites in his free time, while he waits for his wife to come home. Their dog miss her alot I'm sure, as does JR. So I had the pleasure to chat with JR for over an hour tonight. Needless to say, I am one PROUD Papa!!! He's 31 now, and living a great life! Married to an awesome young lady, and seeing the world. Sorry, the pride does just flow freely from me! What can I say?? Go get'em JR!!!

๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐ŸŽจ SHERWIN-WILLIAMS IS BUILDING THE FUTURE OF PAINT TECHNOLOGY AND CORPORATE LEADERSHIP IN NORTHEAST OHIO! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
Few companies are as closely tied to Cleveland's history as Sherwin-Williams, and their massive investment in Northeast Ohio is transforming both downtown Cleveland and Brecksville! ๐Ÿš€
๐Ÿ”ฌ Brecksville's Morikis Global Technology Center (R&D Campus)
Located along I-77 in Brecksville, the state-of-the-art research and development facility spans more than 600,000 square feet and serves as the innovation hub for Sherwin-Williams' future products, coatings research, color technology, and process engineering. More than 900 scientists, engineers, technicians, and support staff work at the facility.
๐Ÿข Downtown Cleveland Global Headquarters
The new headquarters campus near Public Square features a stunning 36-story office tower, a public pavilion, and a parking structure. The approximately 1 million-square-foot campus became fully occupied during 2025-2026 and now stands as one of the newest additions to Cleveland's skyline.
๐Ÿ’ฐ What Did It Cost?
When the project was announced in 2020, Sherwin-Williams stated it would invest a minimum of $600 million to construct both the new downtown headquarters and the Brecksville R&D center combined. Public reports have generally cited the overall project at roughly $600 million or more, though Sherwin-Williams has not publicly broken out final construction costs between the two facilities.
๐Ÿ“ By the Numbers:
โœ… 1.6 million+ square feet built between the two projects
โœ… About 7,000 construction workers involved over the life of the project
โœ… More than 4,000 employees working in the new facilities
โœ… Hundreds of additional jobs expected in the future
๐ŸŒ† The investment represents one of the largest corporate development projects in modern Northeast Ohio history and reinforces Sherwin-Williams' commitment to remaining headquartered in the region where the company was founded in 1866.
๐ŸŽจ From developing the next generation of paints and coatings in Brecksville to leading a global Fortune 500 company from downtown Cleveland, Sherwin-Williams continues to leave its mark on Northeast Ohioโ€”quite literally! ๐Ÿ™๏ธโœจ

Americana at it's finest!!! On Saturday June 13, 2026, Boy Scout Troop 150 retired American flags that had been collected throughout the year! What a great ceremony the children put on, and just how great is it that they are learning all about this, and respect for our country and flag. Today, June 14th, we celebrate Flag Day, honoring the adoption of the United States flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
The first official American flag featured 13 stars and 13 stripes, representing the original thirteen colonies that declared independence from Great Britain. Over the years, as new states joined the Union, stars were added, bringing us to the familiar 50-star flag we proudly fly today.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Why is Flag Day Important?
Flag Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices, achievements, and freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to preserve. The Stars and Stripes have flown over battlefields, schools, homes, government buildings, and historic moments throughout our nation's history. It remains one of the most recognized symbols of American unity and resilience.
๐Ÿšฉ Proper Respect for the American Flag
When a U.S. flag becomes worn, torn, faded, or no longer fit for display, it should be retired with dignity and respect.
๐Ÿ”ฅ The preferred method of retirement is through a ceremonial burning conducted by organizations such as:
โ€ข Veterans groups
โ€ข American Legion posts
โ€ข Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts
โ€ข Boy Scout and Scout troops
โ€ข Other civic organizations
The ceremony is conducted respectfully and honors the service and symbolism of the flag. Many local veterans' organizations also maintain flag retirement drop boxes where old flags can be deposited for proper disposal.
โญ Fun Fact:
The largest Flag Day celebration in the United States is held in the city of Waubeka, recognized as the birthplace of Flag Day after local schoolteacher and patriot Bernard J. Cigrand began promoting the observance in the late 1880s.
Today, take a moment to look at the American flag flying above your community, remember the history it represents, and honor the men and women who have served under it. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

These two images were the most liked on my recent post of Big Boy 4014 Union Pacific Locomotive as it rode the trestle across the Cleveland Flats this past Monday! What a spectacle it was, even though I was so focused on my job flying the drone, and capturing the images, I really did not lay my eyes on the actual train as it passed right in front of me, but for only about 4 seconds. This happens alot, like when I cover events, I'm so busy 'doing my job', I don't get to enjoy the event much. Sometimes I wish I could do just that. But hey, I can't complain much, cuz DRONE OHIO IS ALWAYS HAVING FUN!!!

๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ—๏ธ A GAME-CHANGER IS RISING ON CLEVELAND'S RIVERFRONT! ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐Ÿ€
One of the most ambitious sports performance facilities in the world is taking shape along the banks of the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland! The new Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center will serve as the future home and training headquarters of the Cleveland Cavaliers, while also providing cutting-edge sports medicine and performance services to athletes of all levels. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝโš•๏ธ
The massive 210,000-square-foot facility is being developed through a partnership between the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic, and Bedrock as the first vertical project in Bedrock's transformational Riverfront redevelopment plan. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ™๏ธ
๐Ÿ€ Multiple NBA-caliber practice courts
๐Ÿ“Š Advanced performance analytics and biomechanical testing
๐Ÿฉบ Sports medicine, rehabilitation, and recovery facilities
๐Ÿฅ— Nutrition and wellness programs
๐ŸŽฎ Virtual reality and sports simulation technology
๐ŸŒŽ Public access to specialized performance and treatment services
Construction officially began in October 2024, and in July 2025 crews celebrated a major milestone by placing the final steel beam atop the structure. Nearly 200 tradespeople helped erect more than 2,400 tons of steel during the project's early phases. ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฉ
When completed, the facility is expected to be one of the largest and most advanced sports performance centers anywhere in the world. The Cavaliers are anticipated to move into the new training center in early 2027, with public access and full operations projected by August 2027. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ€
Beyond basketball, the Global Peak Performance Center is expected to help transform Cleveland into an international destination for sports science, wellness, and athletic performance while serving as a catalyst for continued riverfront redevelopment. ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ™๏ธ
๐Ÿ“ Location: Downtown Cleveland Riverfront
๐Ÿ“… Projected Completion: 2027
๐Ÿ€ Future Home of the Cleveland Cavaliers Training Center

The facility is currently projected to open in 2027, with recent reports indicating the Cavaliers could begin using it in early 2027 and public-facing services opening around August 2027.
