Meeting seniors and their families is one of my favorite parts of my job. Each fall, I warn them that before they know it, it'll be time for graduation. Here we are. What an incredible, inspiring group of seniors. I cannot wait to see where the future takes you all. Each one of you gave me a reason to smile when I think of you. Thank you. And thank you, parents, for allowing me the honor of capturing a tiny part of their senior experience! Best of luck, Class of 2024! Stay kind!

Last week we had our first real snow of 2023 in Michigan. I'm normally not a fan of winter nor am I often speechless but when I grabbed my camera and headed to the local park, I was both! The views were stunning, even as the snow fell off the trees and hit me on the top of the head. If you have a minute, take the time to appreciate a glimpse of winter's glory from the warmth of your home/office.

Although I've had a run on senior football players, Owen was my first dual sport athlete for the class of 2023. I've had the honor of photographing him in basketball but hadn't experienced seeing him in action on the field until this year. His talent exceeds expectations as he's not only a force under the basket, his diversity on the field is incredible as he excels at the positions of tight end as well as punter! His senior session was held in downtown Mt Clemens in addition to the field. Thanks, Owen, for your cooperation. It was a pleasure meeting your entourage and photographing the multiple facets of your personality. Thank you, Rebecca (mom), for having such great confidence in my ability to capture your superstar's senior year!

Aaron- Dakota Class of 2023-
Aaron's session was focused on his love of football with a tribute to his Grandpa added in. His mom's pride in him radiated throughout our time together. The thought she put into this was heartwarming as she wanted to make it special for her youngest. I have extreme faith in your future, Aaron! With your first responder parents beside you, you hit the lottery in support! Thank you, Kim, for your enthusiasm through this process. It was a privilege to capture a moment of this year for your family.

Ethan is not only an incredible athlete, he's respectful, cooperative and photographs well effortlessly! His intensity showed through in this senior session as well as on the field as I was able to capture some action shots of him. Thank you, Ethan, for not only following my instructions but for agreeing to mom's great ideas! Thanks to mom, Lori, for seeking me out to seize some of Ethan's passion of football combined with moments of his senior year!

Senior year...it adds up to this...we wish for it until it gets here and then want it to slow down! The teams you're on, groups you belong to and the friends you make have an extreme impact on your lives. I had the distinct honor of photographing the senior members of the dance team on the football field. Thank you, ladies, for being a fun, cooperative group and thank you, parents, for having me come out to document a split second of their final year of high school. Enjoy every minute!

Rachel- Dakota Class of 2023- What's a wonderful 'problem' for a photographer to have? Starting with my favorites and having to narrow it down so I don't post a hundred images of the same person. Rachel is this person. Her smile is captivating and her serious look stops people in their tracks. Keep the energy and positivity you have, Rachel. I can't wait to see where the future leads you!
