It was my birthday yesterday, and I got to spend it doing what I love with the best little baby boy! He was perfect for his session and made my job so easy. Welcome to the world sweet Samuel!

I'm going on vacation for a few days, but I would love to book some more sessions for when I get back. These three young ladies met in elementary school and have remained best friends ever since, even through different middle schools, different high schools, busy schedules, and all the changes that come with growing up. That kind of friendship is rare and so special.

This sweet mama requested yellow as the main color for her newborn session, and I quickly realized I didn’t have the soft spring yellow she was envisioning. I thought I had every color of the rainbow in the studio, but apparently not this one

So I made a couple last-minute store runs to find the perfect fabrics and accessories to bring her vision to life. Mama booked after baby was already born, but I still wanted to make her vision happen, and I’m so glad I did because I LOVE how these turned out

This is also why booking your newborn session during pregnancy is always best! Most families reserve their session ahead of time so I can plan colors, props, and setups before baby arrives, while also making sure I have availability during those early newborn weeks when babies photograph best.

That said, I know life gets busy and sometimes newborn photos get pushed to the bottom of the list after delivery. I always do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever I can!

I’m currently booking newborn due dates for June and beyond, so if you’re expecting, now is the perfect time to get on my calendar.

Spring sessions have been so much fun this year, and Laurel’s graduation shoot was one of my absolute favorites.

We leaned into what she loves most — theatre — and captured her in her element!

Laurel was actually one of the very first kids who ever modeled for me when I was just starting out and learning photography, so getting to photograph her again all these years later as a graduate was such an honor. I can’t believe she’s all grown up!

Congratulations, Laurel — I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you do next.
