Hi, I’m Rachel. Founder and photographer behind Clarke Narrative.
I spent the first 15 years of my career photographing weddings in the VA/MD/DC area along with travel to beautiful locations like The Florida Keys, St. Thomas, Mexico, and The Bahamas. I spent many weekends wandering around beautiful resorts looking for moments to include within the story. The way light moved through a property, design details, landscapes, anything that fit within the narrative being woven through the day. When it came time to exit the world of weddings, stepping into lifestyle and hospitality felt completely natural.
Somewhere along the way I fell in love with diving deeper into this process. Into the storyline of a brand or property, fully understanding what makes them special, what small understated details speak volumes, and what could be elevated and further promoted. At the end of the day it’s not just about photography. It’s about being an ambassador for their brand, understanding their goals, and supporting them in their overall success.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m spending time with my family and two mini aussies. Part world traveler, part homebody, loving every minute of it.
